Sunil Kanugolu a Congress strategist is cited by the Hyderabad police

In connection with a complaint filed against him for allegedly creating disparaging videos against Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and Bharat Rashtra Samithi, Hyderabad police have summoned Congress poll strategist Sunil Kanugolu (BRS).

Under section 41 (A) of the Criminal Procedure Code, the cybercrime police gave him notice and ordered him to appear before them on December 30 with an explanation.

The notice states that failure to comply with the conditions of the notice may result in your arrest in accordance with sections 41A(3) and (4) of the Criminal Procedure Code.
Sunil’s notice was accepted on his behalf by Mallu Ravi, vice president of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC).

According to the notice, a case was filed on November 24 under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Sections 469 (Forgery for the Purpose of Harming Reputation) and 505 (2) in response to a complaint made by R. Samrat (statements creating or promoting enmity, hatred or ill-will between classes).

Two weeks had passed since the police had conducted a raid on the Congress’s war room in Madhapur and taken three people into custody.
The accused were posting offensive messages on social media under the aliases “Telangana galam” and “Apanna Hastam,” according to the police, who confiscated laptops, computers, and mobile phones during the operation.

Sunil will be included as the primary accused, according to a police officer. He was reportedly running away.

The opposition party had a strong response to the police activity and referred to it as a raid on democracy. Statewide demonstrations against the raid were organised by the party.
